WHY WE CAN'T WAIT

WHY WE CAN'T WAIT  Humanity is an important element of life which triggers us to help others, understand our infirmity and motivates us to help the human race. When you show humanity, hhhyou have a feel click or a pinch from your inner soul which you cannot get from something else. Every religion tells us about humanity, peace and love. That is why no religion is higher than humanity. But decades after slave trade and the oppressions  recorded all over the world, it's quite appalling to still witness modern slavery and pure injustices melted down on people of colour. Before every election,  all politicians do promise equality of race and gender, but once in power, they are always sluggish to pass laws that gives maximum punishment to those involved in racial killings and rape. The idea for the painting is inspired by the alarming rate at which rape and racial killings are recorded all over the world, the look

Hello friends......... Compliment of the season to you all. I have always promised myself to get active with my blog but it seems I have been tied down more to the production of the great pieces and have not devoted time to document the process of production. Anyway.....the is a new year and i hope all excuses are gone with the last decade......... HAPPY NEW DECADE TO US ALL !!! Few years ago...2016 precisely, I started exploring with materials. I knew I needed something more... respect to those who feel comfortable at their present creative level. So, my quest for knowledge pushed me back to school where I had to work with colours but without pigments. The result of my research continued after my MFA program. I decided to continue with the exploration.....and trust me, it's been a wonderful journey. I opened a new Instagram page  https://www.instagram.com/p/B61DG8Thsfb/  to share my wonderful pieces with you all.......... ...........ENJOY!!!

Hello Friends,              Its good to be back with you.....sharing my new painting with stages it passed through. I've always believed that " A GREAT PAINTING IS A MOMENT CAPTURED". " TO REALLY CAPTURE THE QUALITY OF A SUBJECT, YOU MUST HAVE A FEELING ABOUT IT BEYOND ITS LITERAL QUALITIES". I wonder why so many young artists here in Nigeria believe painting realistically is a "MECHANICAL ACT". Its very funny listening to most of these artists preach their gospel of ESCAPEEISM, believing you're creative as an artist only if you DISTORT REALITY. ....... I guess this observation of mine will be continued later.               Here is my recent watercolour painting titled 'GIFT'. Its painted on a 200gm cold pressed Vangogh watercolour paper, 46cm x55cm and believe me, I had great fun painting her.       STAGE ONE, Since Watercolour is a delicate medium to handle, I do lots of planning before apply
